LOGICA recruitment drive
on back of new business wins
Logica, the business and technology service company, has appointed Grant Niven as Head of Financial Services in Scotland. His appointment is part of a wider recruitment drive in Scotland which has already seen the recruitment of ten skilled IT professionals after new contract wins, primarily in the financial services sector, trebled over the first half of the year. It is expected that more people will join the Scotland team within the coming months to help deliver for new and existing clients including Shell, Scottish Water, Scottish Government & Tesco Bank.
Commenting on the appointments, General Manager for Logica in Scotland, Martin Ewart, said: “Our Scottish business is in a growth phase. We have seen a rise in demand across sectors for everything from business intelligence systems to Smart Metering from a number of different sectors. “We are delighted to secure Grant. He has a fantastic track record, working with some of the biggest names in the financial services sector.
The new Scottish staff will be based at Logica’s Edinburgh Park office. A large proportion of the successful applicants attended a dedicated careers open day which was advertised online using social media networking. Over 170 people applied for the positions which are all financial services based.
Logica has operated in Scotland for over 25 years and employs 300+ staff across a variety of industry sectors.
