Burness beats market expectations on deals
Leading legal firm Burness has bucked market trends after a busy period in corporate finance, after concluding deals for clients including, Glen Grant distillers, Korean conglomerate E-Land World, Maxim Integrated Products, Pizza Hut, and SeaEnergy PLC.
With media speculators predicting a quiet period through the summer, the corporate finance team at the Scots legal practice has been active on a dozen high profile transactions.
Peter Lawson (above), head of corporate finance at Burness, said, “We are delighted to have been so active over the past few months. The deals we have advised on have been across different sectors and include five international transactions. The current market is challenging but by understanding our clients’ businesses, working closely with them, and being rigorous in our commitment to impeccable execution, we are able to support them during this time.”
